Activating a nettalk duo that has to be transferred to an existing account

My question relates to the problem of activating a nettalk duo that has to be transferred to an existing account.  My current account is not able to be used as my nettalk duo was defective and had to be returned at my expense to the Nettalk company. 

I pleaded with a sales representative to give me the MAC address of the new device dispatched to myself today.  It was picked up in Miami this morning.  It will take until July 25 for it to arrive in a nearby village to myself.  Then I would have to request the transfer of the new nettalk duo to my existing account.  That will take up to 4 days normally.  

Has anyone been in the situation where you had to activate a nettalk device that had to be transferred to your existing account.  It is quite often the case in which people set up new accounts with their nettalk device.  

Please post to my query if you are able to provide any insight as to how it went.
